Can Supplements Help You Get Ripped?
Supplements are expensive, and usually aren't all they're cracked up to be. But can they give you and edge in getting ripped?
Well, sometimes. But really not as much as you might have been led to believe. The guidelines below are the real essentials for getting ripped, and, once you've got those down, a few supplements might actually help you get stronger.
Get The Basics Right First
To get ripped, and get your muscles more defined, you have to eat less. This will make you lose fat, and make your muscles stand out more.
Of course, there's a right way and a wrong way to drop fat. You need to eat your protein to keep your muscles intact. And don't lose weight too fast - otherwise your muscles will waste away along with fat.
These basics of fat loss will make you more ripped, and are far more powerful than any supplement cocktail you can imagine or buy. Focus on perfecting these basics before you drop a ton of money on powders and pills.
'Ripped' Is Just Low Body Fat
If you get the basics right, you'll be able to drop body fat and reveal your muscle. It's really as simple as that.
Developing bigger muscles will make you look more imposing. And you need muscles to be ripped. But you can't get that ripped look with extra fat on your frame - it's just not going to happen.
Practice Weight Lifting To Put On Muscle
Losing fat is only one half of the equation. Putting on muscle is the other half.
The single best way to put on muscle is through weight training. Lifting heavy barbells and dumbbells is difficult, but it builds muscle like nothing else.
Choose a basic weight training program, and workout two or three times a week. Adhering to something simple, and just sticking with it, will give you a great return on your efforts.
Weight lifting will also send your body the signals to retain muscle as you're dieting down and losing fat. If you don't workout, your muscles will break down along with your fat.
But If You're Serious, Take These Supplements
If your'e serious about getting muscular, take creatine. You've probably already heard of it, but it is the only sports supplement that multiple studies have shown effective.
Compared to a lot of the strange substances out there, it's not that expensive. And it actually works!
HMB also shows some promise. And at least one study has shown that it synergies well with creatine, so that combining the two gives you greater results than either alone.
If you really want supplements to make your muscles stand out, take these. They will give you and edge in muscle building even as you lose fat.
